British Airways. 60 foot Catamaran

Designed again by Rod Macalpine-Downie, she was built to break the New York – San Francisco Record. Cold moulded, she was a very tough boat, but spent her career racing boats designed for less hazardous waters than Cape Horn. Nevertheless she won the World Championship for 60 foot multihulls in 1985. Sold in 1987, she was used by hence de Velde in his first attempt at a solo circumnavigation but damaged and had to retire. She was then bought and put to charter in the Caribbean.
