Sea Falcon. 70 foot catamaran
Using the same moulds as British Oxygen and built again by Reg White, Rod Macalpine Downie changed the sheer and produced this 70 foot catamaran but at half the weight, 4.5 tons rigged. She proved to be a much better performer and a magnificent seaboat, surviving a hurricane off Cape Hatteras. She was run down off Cape Finisterre and subsequently written off in 1983 when participating in the Vilamoura Race.
